Google just changing the defaults in Google Suite so that the only usable search product in the entire Google Universe no longer works 😆

The product in question is

Cloud Search was the only search tool from Google that was good, as you could search across all emails, docs, presentations, google groups... everything you had permission to see.

But because they added a new permission, and didn't apply it to existing docs that were previously searchable... nothing now comes back in the search tool 🤷

On the day after #Facebook gets a Trumpist onto their board, they announce that they intend to remove all fact checkers and push political content (after a years-long hiatus).

Good thing they are not working to embrace, extend, extinguish #Mastodon or anything.

No idea if @Gargron has thoughts on this. If yes, I'd love to hear them.
